Background
At present there has been inadequacy in the proper channels for the Malaysian Indian students abroad to be exposed to the Malaysian Indian culture and religion.
There have been many myths, confusions and misinformation about Vedic art and culture.
Preserving the Hindu religion and culture in the wake of globalization
Understanding the diversity in Hinduism practiced world wide
Appreciating the diverse culture expressing the Hindu religion
Objective
To create a common platform among Hindus for the exchange of views pertaining to cultural diversity.
To expose the Hindu students to the art and cultural aspects of Hinduism
To dispel the myths, confusions and misinformation about Vedic art and culture.
To foster soliditary amongst the Malaysian Hindu community abroad and the International Hindu community.
To learn and cultivate skills of Hindu art and culture.
To promote personal responsibility and self-reliance and also to help students to develop a taste towards traditional assets of the Hindu religion.
To promote goodwill among all races and religion.
Resolution
Organizing Indian Cultural Festival in Conjunction of the Hindu New Year Celebration.
Indian Cultural Day will cover aspects of the Indian Hindu Art, Culture ,Education and Dharma.
Organize Bajhan and kuttu pirarthanai. Followed by group discussion sessions to share and understand more about culture and religion ( science, way of life...etc)
Organize prayers and gatherings for Hindu celebrations. ( Thaipoosam, Depavali, Navarathiri..etc)
Education- Forum and workshops
Background – Due to limted acess to vedic literature and many other compilation of Hindu philosophy,many hindus are misinformed or rather misinterpreted by certain quarters.This certainly leaves a dent in hindu education and practice.
Rationale – The forum consisting of panel of good hindu intellectuals from international society from India,Malaysia and Indonesia will give a valid platform to express,discuss and share a thought on hindu philosophy.In the era of globalization, there is much need to make the hindu philosophy applicable in ones daily life without compromising the culture,this forums will act serve this purpose
